3 children injured in bus crash

STRATFORD, Conn. (CT Post) - Three students were taken to Bridgeport Hospital for evaluation Friday after the school bus they were traveling in collided with a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of Barnum Terrace Extension and McQuillan Street.

The students were en route to Second Hill Lane Elementary School, where they are enrolled in a half-day pre-kindergarten program, according to a supervisor from Durham School Services, the company operating the bus that was carrying the students.

One of the students complained of neck pain and was bruised in the crash, police said. The other two students were taken to the hospital as a precaution, police said.
