Norwalk, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three people were rescued after falling out of a kayak into the water in Norwalk Saturday.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m., at Calf Pasture Beach, in the area of the pier.

According to the Norwalk Fire Department, the individuals did manage to get back into the kayak, but were soaking wet and shivering.

All three were taken to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation.

Officials said the water temperature was approximately 45 degrees.

All three people were Norwalk residents, ages 37, 17, and 8. Only two were wearing life jackets, and were dressed in shorts and sweatshirts.
