DARIEN, Conn. (CTPost.com) - A Darien investment banker charged last week with stabbing a New York City cab driver with a small knife and threatening the driver with racial slurs has been placed on administrative leave.
The suspect -- 47-year-old William Bryan Jennings -- is the co-head of fixed income and capital markets for Morgan Stanley. Company spokesman Penn Pendleton confirmed Monday that Jennings had been put on leave, but didn't say when the move was made and had no other comment on the case.
Jennings, of Knollwood Lane, is due in state Superior Court in Stamford March 9 to face charges of second-degree assault, theft of services and second-degree intimidation based on race or bigotry. He was released following his Wednesday arrest after posting $9,500 bond
Through his attorney, Jennings denied the allegations.
