FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- It was a gruesome start to the work week after the owner of a Fairfield manufacturing company discovered a dead body in the parking lot.
"He is a middle-aged man, not from Fairfield, but he is from the Fairfield County area," said Sgt. Suzanne Lussier.
The State Police Major Crime Squad is investigating who the man is, and how he got to the Universal Thread Grinding Company on Chambers Street.
Police described the victim as a 57-year-old white male.
He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
It doesn't appear the man has any connection to the business.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
Chambers Street is an industrial zone with some commercial businesses. It's near the on-ramp to the northbound side of I-95.
The owner of the company is cooperating with police.
