RIDGEFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A body has been found that is believed to be the missing 44-year-old man who went missing during a run on Saturday, police said.
David Riek, 44, is described as a fit, long-distant runner. Family and friends became concerned when he did not return home after a morning run on Saturday.
In the second day of the search, police said they found a body that matched his description in a wooded area near the intersection of Florida Hill Road and Ridgewood.
They have not ruled a cause of death, however at this point police say foul play is not suspected.
Riek's wife first called police Saturday after he did not come back from one of his routine runs and storms had come through the area.
Dozens of volunteers, including family and friends, came out to look for him and searhed until dark Saturday night.
The search teams were back out Sunday morning when they made the discovery.
Friends say he had a wife and three children and they were planning to move to Singapore as he had recently gotten a new job.
