STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning in Stamford Wednesday.
According to the Stamford Fire Department, when they arrived at Southfield Park Wednesday evening they found a female in her early 20's giving CPR to a 7-year-old boy after he swallowed a lot of water and nearly drowned.
When firefighters arrived they took over for the female and continued CPR. Eventually the boy began breathing again and responding to verbal commands.
