STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two teenaged boys were taken to the hospital after they were struck by a bus in front of Westhill High School in Stamford.
Police say the First Student school bus was driving north on Roxbury Road when it veered right and struck a parked car. The bus continued forward into the right shoulder of the road, where the two teenaged boys were struck.
The bus came to a stop after it turned into the school's entrance driveway and hit a traffic island.
The 15 and 16-year-old boys were transported to Stamford Hospital. The younger of the two is said to have non life-threatening injuries, while the elder has been released.
The bus driver, 32-year-old Christopher Leckey, was interviewed on the scene, but no charges have been filed at this time.
Police say the incident is under investigation, and multiple search and seizure warrants have been applied for. The Connecticut DMV school bus inspectors are also conducting an investigation.
Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Officer Jeffrey Booth or Sergeant Andrew Gallagher of C.A.R.S.
