Brookfield man dies in car accident

BROOKFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 79-year-old man died in a single-car accident on Tuesday.

Around 5:00 p.m. police were notified of a car crash on Ironworks Hill Road near the intersection of Farview Road.

Upon arrival police and EMS found Arnold Cresci in his 1997 Ford F150 off the road with the front end crashed into a tree.

Cresci was unconscious and CPR was performed in an attempt to revive him, police reported.

Cresci was pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
