Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) - A car accident in the area of Fairfield Ave and Wordin Ave have left seven people injured, two in critical condition.

When you take a look at the violent impact, you see the truck on its side and three other vehicles torn up.

One witness said a little boy popped out of the back of one of the cars and ran to get help.

"I called 911 and told them to bring everything they had," Angelita Rivera said.

Witnesses say you could hear the impact for blocks away. A vehicle was speeding down the road when it collided and ricocheted off other cars before rolling over, ejecting passengers as well as a case of beer.

Gary Bennett was one of the first people on the scene. He said, "When I got out, there was a lot of blood, his head was open. The first guy wasn't hurt as bad as the second guy they took out of the car."

In all, seven people were taken to the hospital. Two men were in critical condition.

The accident reconstruction team arrived on the scene to try and put the pieces back together.

People who live on the street say cars speed up and down the main drag, sometimes even drag racing.

Angilita Rivera's mother was driving her car and was caught right in the middle of the accident. While she didn't get hurt, Rivera says she wouldn't be surprised if there were more accidents.

Rivera said, "It's crazy that could have been my child in that car. It could have been your mother. She was just right in the middle of it. Thank God she wasn't hurt."

The police say they are looking at everything from a defective vehicle to speed to alcohol.

The investigation is ongoing.
