Car crashes on railroad tracks in Bridgeport

Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) - An early morning crash damaged several cars and ended with the vehicle a wreck on the railroad tracks.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. when a speeding car went by police and hit several other cars along Fairfield Avenue, including one carrying children, according to Doingitlocal.com .

The car eventually hit a jersey barrier and went several feet in the air before landing on the tracks, the website reported.

The children and the driver of the vehicle that did all the damage were taken to the hospital.

There is no word yet from Bridgeport police on charges or on the conditions of the people involved.
