Cops: Missing teen calls parents

BROOKFIELD, Conn. (NewsTimes) -- A 17-year-old Brookfield boy who disappeared from a Milford mall on March 9 contacted his family over the weekend and reported that he was safe, police said.

Henry Ralph Manning, 17, of Brookfield, was last seen Friday with a group of friends at the Westfield Connecticut Post mall, his mother, Jenan, told the News-Times last week.

Brookfield police on Monday announced that Manning contacted his father and told him that he was in New York City, said Youth Officer Gary Gramling.
