WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) — A coyote that walked onto the Merritt Parkway in Westport is being blamed for a rush-hour crash involving multiple vehicles.
Firefighters say drivers reported striking a coyote that entered the roadway Wednesday morning.
The Hartford Courant reports that one of the cars caught on fire but nobody was injured.
The northbound lanes were closed as firefighters tended to the motorists and extinguished the fire.
