Mother commits homicide-suicide

Kills 8-yr-old daughter, then herself, police say

    Bridgeport (AP) - The Connecticut chief medical examiner's office says that a double fatal shooting in Bridgeport is a homicide-suicide.

    A Bridgeport woman and her daughter were found dead Monday in their Burnsford Avenue home.

    An autopsy Tuesday found that 8-year-old Garbriella Marin Rino was fatally shot in the head and her death is a homicide.

    The medical examiner says 48-year-old Ann Marie Rino died from a gunshot wound to the chest and her death is a suicide.

    The mother and child were found dead in their Burnsford Avenue home Monday afternoon.

    Police were called shortly after 3:30 p.m. to the single-family house on report of shots fired.
