Fatal motorcycle accident on Route 8

Trumbull, Conn. (WTNH) -  A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Route 8 Northbound near exit 7 in Trumbull.

It happened at 12:53pm. The driver, Kamil Sowinski, 19, lost control of the motorcycle.

Sowinski fell from the motorcycle and slid across the left lane and into the grass median.

The vehicle slid out of control on its left side and came to rest in the right lane.

Sowinski was treated by medical personnel at the scene and was pronounced dead at St. Vincent's Hospital.

The driver was not wearing a helmet.

Witnesses are asked to contact Troop G in Bridgeport.

The incident is under investigation.
