WILTON, Conn. (AP) — Fire officials in Wilton are investigating the cause of a blaze that tore through a condominium complex and heavily damaged 15 homes.

Authorities say two firefighters suffered minor injuries in Sunday's fire at the Wilton Crest condominium complex on Wolfpit Road, and at least a dozen families were left homeless.

The Hour of Norwalk reports that nearly 60 firefighters from Wilton and neighboring towns were called to the complex shortly after 11:30 a.m. One firefighter was injured by falling debris and another was treated for heat exhaustion.

The American Red Cross was called in to see if the displaced families needed help with housing, clothing or food.

It took several hours for firefighters to completely put out the blaze.
