BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- No one was injured after a fire broke out at a dining hall on the University of Bridgeport's campus.
The dining hall is currently undergoing renovations. Officials say all the duct work in the hall had been cleaned out, but one small area where grease had built up was accidentally overlooked. That grease spot caught fire when a worker was using a blow torch nearby.
The duct work was damaged, as was a small portion of the roof above.
Officials tell News 8 the only people in the dining hall were workers. No students were on campus at the time.
