Firefighters battle fire in crawl space

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a Westport home Tuesday night.
The fire broke out around 10 p.m. at a Fairfield Avenue home.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke coming from an exterior wall at the front of the house. A fire was then discovered in the crawl space directly below the boiler.
The fire was quickly extinguished and the damage was minimal, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
Officials said the residents of the home had to relocate for the remainder of the evening.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
