Firefighters called to town councilman's home

STRATFORD, Conn. (CT Post) - A vacant Ash Street house owned by a town council member and set to go on the market Saturday went up in flames Tuesday afternoon.

The house, at 100 Ash Street, is owned by Christian Barnaby, a Republican who represents the town's first district.

Asst. Fire Chief Timothy Brennan said the blaze started in a first-floor bathroom and spread through the walls to the second-floor attic.
