Fisherman falls into water, drowns

New Fairfield, Conn. (WTNH) - ** Updated** The deceased has been identified as 21-year old Anthony Framco of New York.

Around 11:20am, a man was fishing in an unprotected area of Squantz Pond with friends when he fell into the water.

They were fishing along the western grove shoreline.

Lifeguards pulled the 21-year-old male out and began CPR.

The victim was treated by paramedics and taken to Danbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The drowning is under investigation.
