Giants player honors victim Jack Pinto

(WTNH) -- A member of the New York Giants football team had his own tribute to one of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

One of the victims, Jack Pinto, was a huge Victor Cruz fan so Cruz wore cleats with "Jack Pinto my hero" written on them for Sunday's game.

Cruz says he plans to give those shoes, and his gloves which had the same message to the boy's family and will eventually visit with them.

"To just stay strong. They seem like a strong family. I also spoke to the older brother and he was destroyed as well so I just told him to stay strong and I'm going to do whatever I can to honor them," Cruz said.
