Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) - Rain or shine the show goes on at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, where thousands of people are expected to get together for the 15th annual Gathering of the Vibes.
The big event features dozens of bands and tens of thousands of people. The Greenwoods of Bridgeport are among those feeling the good vibrations, pitching their tent for the weekend at the park.
"It's great for the city of Bridgeport," Jack Greenwood said. "It's just live music, a lot of people having fun."
20,000 guests are expected each of the four days of the annual international festival, which is full of music, food and handcrafted goods.
"We're out in a beautiful, beautiful setting and it seems to bring a lot of great people," said Zack Siddons of 'Nature Girl Designs' of Ohio. "I've heard them call themselves tribes here...."
But the music, that's the reason everyone comes.
"Folks should expect in the city of Bridgeport this is the biggest production, be it sound, lights and video that you will see in this city, probably ever," festival production manager Chris Hubbard said. "The artist line up is the best in the history of Gathering of the Vibes, nevermind the state of Connecticut.
"Expect a good time," he said.
