DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Finance Drive in Danbury was closed after a hazmat crew was called to the Bedoukin Research Building.
Officials tell News 8 the incident happened in a containment room and involved a chemical in a barrel.
Employees were evacuated after the call came in around 8:30 a.m.
The company works on products such as fragrances.
According to a tweet from Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, "Hazmat situation on Finance Dr. is under control, taking all necessary precautions, avoid the area if possible."
