Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) -- No one was injured in a fire that has extensively damaged a Bridgeport house.
According to the fire department the house at 1895 Resevoir Avenue is vacant.
The fire broke out at 10:10 p.m.
The fire department says it apparently began in the middle of the house and burned through the first and second floors causing extensive structural damage.
At one point firefighters who were inside fighting the fire were pulled out due to the danger and finished fighting the fire from outside.
The house will have to be torn down.
The cause is under investigation but the fire department says since it is a vacant house it's possible it could have been started by vandals or vagrants.
