Fire extensively damages Monroe house

Monroe, Conn. (WTNH) -- Monroe Police say no one was injured in a house fire early Monday morning.

The fire broke out before 2 a.m. on Robin Lane. According to police the fire was out by 3 a.m.  

The residents have found another place to stay but the Red Cross has provided the two adults and three children who lived in the home with personal care items such as toothbrushes.

The cause is under investigation.
