Redding, Conn. (Danbury News-Times) - A Superior Court judge required medical treatment after police said a motorcycle he was driving struck a northbound vehicle on Route 58 Tuesday morning.

Redding police would confirm only that William J. Wenzel was driving the motorcycle at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday when it struck a car driven by a Brookfield man on the state road near John Reed Road.

Wenzel was transported to Danbury Hospital where a hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released.

The motorcycle was towed, while the car received only minor damage.
