BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CTPost.com)-- Several homes were evacuated Friday morning after a gas main ruptured on Old Town Road, officials said.
The gas leak was reported at about 11:30 a.m. near 2801 Old Town Rd., between Sunnydale Road and Guilford Drive. Firefighters said houses west of Sunnydale Road were evacuated at about 11:40 a.m. At 11:50 a.m., firefighters reported that the evacuation was complete, and at about 12:20 p.m., people were being allowed back in their homes.
