SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH)-- A 49-year-old man died shoveling out his car in Shelton at 4 AM, on Saturday.
Shelton Fire and EMS responded to Darrin Drive around 4 AM, and found the man unconscious and not breathing.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation showed that the man was plowing his driveway, when his car got stuck. The man appeared to have suffered a medical event while he was shoveling out his car.
The man was found by a neighbor after his wife became alarmed when he did not return home.
Officials say roadways were nearly impassable and a snowmobile with a sled had to be used to get the man to the ambulance.
The name of the male is not being released until the family is notified.
