SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police say a 55-year-old man is in critical condition after he fell overboard into the Housatonic River.
Around 6:50 p.m. police received a call that the boat struck an object and one of the men fell overboard south of the Sunnyside boat ramp.
Several authorities responded. The man was found less than fifteen minutes after the initial call, police reported.
The man was not breathing and was taken to Griffin Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
DEEP also responded and is leading the investigation.
