Baby gator found in Trumbull

Trumbull (WTNH) - Police officers in Trumbull were able to track down a baby alligator after a woman spotted the critter on Monday.

The woman spotted the alligator in Canoe Brook Lake.

Officers were finally able to track down and capture the gator on Wednesday. It's only about 12-inches long.

The alligator was turned over to the DEP who are going to send it to Rainbow Reptiles in Massachusetts.
