(WTNH) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a Bethel company for what it calls serious and repeat violations of workplace safety standards.
OSHA is proposing fines totaling $55,440 against DCG Precision Manufacturing , a machine shop on Trowbridge Drive.
According to the agency, inspectors found conditions similar to a 2006 inspection. The issues in the recent inspection include slipping and tripping hazards and lack of chemical hazard information.
The serious violations include inadequate ventilation for workers and unsecured gas cylinders.
The company has 15 days to either comply with the fine, meet with OSHA or contest the findings.
