Man hit by train in Greenwich dies

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man hit by a train in Greenwich Wednesday night died at Stamford Hospital.

Around 6:45 p.m. an eastbound Metro North train hit a man on the tracks near Davis Ave. in Greenwich, according to MTA Police.

The man, identified as Alexander Bertrand, 21, of North Woodmere, N.Y., died at the hospital.

Metro North service was suspended in both directions during the investigation.
