Police in Conn. ID body of man found in river

NORWALK, Conn. (AP) — A body found floating in the Norwalk River has been identified as a 27-year-old man.

Police say the body of Alexander Fried was pulled from the river around 9:40 a.m. Monday. Identification was found on the body and some officers recognized him.

The (Norwalk) Hour reports that the body is at the medical examiner's office in Farmington. Investigators say the death does not appear suspicious.
