Red Cross helps Bridgeport family after fire

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)-- The American Red Cross is helping a family after a house fire in Bridgeport Saturday.

The fire department says the fire was called in around 10:09 PM, Saturday night, as a structure fire at 161 Earl Avenue.

The Red Cross is providing the family of five, four adults and one child, with emergency housing, food and clothing needs.

They are also providing comfort kits, containing gender appropriate personal care items, and a children's kit for the child.
