BETHEL, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Bethel school was placed in a modified lockdown after shell casings were discovered at the school Friday morning.
The incident happened at Bethel Middle School.
School officials said the school was put "in hold," a modification of lockdown, after the shell casings were found outside the school's cafeteria.
Bethel Police are on the scene investigating, looking to identify the student who put the casings there.
A search of the school is being conducted.
A lockdown also took place in Willington after a shotgun shell was found on a bus.
