Shelton, Conn. (WTNH) - Faisal Shahzad, arrested in connection with the failed bombing in Times Square, lived at a home in Shelton for several years with his wife and two children and kept to themselves, according to a neighbor who spoke to News 8.
That neighbor, Brenda Thurman, says Shahzad and his family frequently dressed in traditional Muslim clothes. They were friendly, but a little mysterious and didn't socialize much.
She thought Faisal Shahzad worked in New York City, maybe on Wall Street. But then, about a year ago, they lost their house. The bank foreclosed and they started selling their belongings on Craigslist.
Thurman said Faisal Shahzad left a month or two earlier than the rest of the family, and nobody has lived here since July of last year.
Yesterday she says she saw what she thought were undercover law enforcement vehicles staking out the house. She never saw anyone go in and search the place.
