Son accidentally stabs mom during fight

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CT Post) -- A city woman suffered cuts to her right hand and left arm, Monday night, as she tried to break up a fight between her son and her boyfriend.

Police said that Shawn Rivera, 24, accidentally stabbed his mother as he fought with Arthur Nelson, 47 in their Agnes Street home shortly before 9 p.m.

The woman took her young daughter and left the house, calling police from a nearby convenience store.
