STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Stamford firefighters were called to a structure fire on Greenwich Avenue Friday afternoon.

The fire broke out just before 12:30 p.m., at a multi-unit building, located 303 Greenwich Ave.

When crews arrived on the scene they saw flames coming out of the back side of the building.

Firefighters knocked out the fire in approximately 35 minutes.

The building has been deemed uninhabitable.

Officials said some firefighters suffered from exhaustion and needed to take a break to get fluids and rest.

The fire is under investigation.
