STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- The wind and rain caused big problems for commuters on Metro North and on Amtrak Tuesday night.
Trees fell on the tracks delaying some trains for more than an hour.
News 8's Bob Wilson visited Stamford where some of the most severe weather hit around 9 p.m.
He talked to some commuters who had a hard time getting home.
"What happened to your roommate," Wilson asked one commuter
"My roommate, the train stopped and another train had to get on to her train, so it was really really packed," said Lisa Lambeau, "and they had to stop at every single stop until Stamford and they weren't supposed to, they were supposed to be the express."
"We came to a complete stop and there was a tree down in front of us," said Robert Lester, commuter. "We sat there for probably an hour and 20 minutes, other than that it's been slow, but moving since then."
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
