NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Faculty and staff at a Newtown school were placed in lockdown Tuesday morning.
According to police, Head O'Meadow School, located at 94 Boggs Hill Rd., was closed to students Tuesday due to a security threat.
The Superintendent's Office said that teachers and staff at the school were placed in lockdown while police investigated.
The school has since been closed for the day and all officers have left the scene.
At this time there are no specific details on what the security threat was.
