Transformer explosion leads to power outage in Monroe

Monroe, Conn. (WTNH) - Seventy six customers of CL&P are without power due to a transformer fire in Monroe early this morning. 

According to police it happened on Church St shortly before 12:30am.  

There were no injuries.
