Norwalk, Conn. (WTNH) - A woman was taken to the hospital after crashing into a stone wall in Norwalk Sunday.

The accident happened around noon, at 105 Ward Street.

According to the Norwalk Fire Department, a late model Subaru Tribeca went off the road on a one-way section of Ward Street between West Rocks Road and Union Avenue. The SUV then proceeded to hit a two foot high stone wall and come to rest on the front lawn of a single-family home.

Upon arrival officials said the female driver and lone occupant was semi-conscious and appeared to have possibly had some type of medical episode.

After firefighters secured the vehicle the woman was boarded and taken to Norwalk Hospital.

The woman's identity has not been released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by Norwalk Police.
