Woman fires shot at intruder

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CT Post) -- A local woman said she fired a shot at a man who broke into her aunt's North Avenue home early Wednesday morning.

The 27-year-old woman, who asked that her name not be used, said she is not sure if she hit the intruder. "We and the police looked around the apartment and we didn't see any bullet holes in the walls," she said.

Police said they are investigating the incident.
