Fatal car crash in Bristol

Bristole, Conn. (WTNH) - A 26-year old Bristol man has died following a two car crash early Sunday morning.

It happened in the area of Middle Street (Route 229) and Pinebrook Terrace around 2am.

Police say Denorris Mcelya was traveling north on Middle Street when he collided with a car operated by Christopher Titus of Meriden.

Mcelya was pronounced dead at Bristol Hospital a short time later. Titus suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.

The Bristol Press reports that there will be a vigil tonight near the crash site.
