3 families displaced from fire

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three families were displaced from fire in East Hartford Thursday night.

Chief Perez said a call came in around shortly after 5:00 p.m. for a structure fire on Central Avenue.

Upon arrival, smoke and flames were seen from the second floor enclosed porch.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in 15-20 minutes according to officials.

There were no injuries in the fire.

The home is uninhabitable for the time being for smoke and water damage.

The fire remains under investigation.
