3 sent to hospital due to heat

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three people were sent to the hospital for heat-related emergencies during the New Britain High School graduation.

The three people were sent to the Hospital of Central Connecticut to be treated.

No word yet on their current conditions.

Wednesday night marked the official beginning of Summer. On Wednesday afternoon the entire state remained under under a heat advisory.

The temperature at 2 p.m. in Berlin was 92 degrees with a heat index of 108 degrees.
