WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 59-year-old man drowned at Corner Stone Pool on Friday night.
Officials responded to the report of an unconscious man in the pool at 55 Buena Vista.
The lifeguards removed him from the pool and were performing CPR, police reported.
At the time of the incident there were only 2 people swimming laps in the pool.
Lifeguards reported the victim turned on his back and went under the lane rope and proceeded to go under water.
The lifeguard immediately went into the water and with the help of other staff removed the victim from the water in less than 10 seconds and began CPR, police reported.
The victim was not breathing and did not have a pulse.
When Officials arrived on scene they took over performing CPR and the male was transported to UConn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
