Glastonbury, Conn. (WTNH) - A child in Glastonbury succumbed to injuries he received in an ATV accident in Glastonbury Friday afternoon.
Officials at Hartford Hospital tell News 8 the seven year old boy died Friday evening after the ATV rolled on top of him.
Police and fire crews arrived at a home in the 500 block of Woodruff Road around 6:00 Friday evening after the boy's parents called 911 saying the ATV flipped over onto the child. That child was not wearing a helmet. "My understanding is that the seven year old was in cardiac arrest, CPR was started Lifestar was called and the child was flown to Hartford," said Sgt. Joel White of the Glastonbury Police Department.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Glastonbury Police say it is legal to ride an ATV on private property.
