Hartford, Conn. (AP) - Delta Air Lines says it will restore direct service from Bradley International Airport to Los Angeles starting in June.
The airline said Thursday the Connecticut-Los Angeles flight will be available Sundays through Fridays beginning June 10. Delta halted the service on Sept. 30, 2008, ending Connecticut's only nonstop connection to the West Coast.
Southwest Airlines started daily nonstop service this month to Denver from Bradley.
Gov M. Jodi Rell called the announcement welcome news for Bradley Airport and the region's economy. "New service means new growth, not only for Bradley but for the regional economy," added Gov. M Jodi Rell. "We all win with this announcement."
