Canton High School teacher killed in car crash

Canton, Conn. (WTNH) - Grief counselors will be at Canton High School Monday after a teacher was killed in a car crash over the weekend.

Jaclyn King, 25, of Waterford, was killed Sunday on Route 9 near Exit 11 in Middletown.

According to state police, King was heading north when the car went off the road, struck a light pole and rolled over. King was partially ejected and died.

King was an English teacher at Canton High.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact state police Trooper James Matlock at 860-399-2100.
