Car strikes bus in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Five children were taken to the hospital after a car struck a bus in Hartford Thursday.

The accident happened shortly after 4 p.m.

Police said one person was in the car and six students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car was sent to the hospital for minor injuries.

Five of the six students on the bus were sent to the hospital either for very minor injuries or because police couldn't get in contact with their legal guardians.

The sixth student was picked up by a parent on the scene.
